This new book is characterized by an unusual study of renovated suburban homes, a topic that has been researched very little. The project's philosophy presupagesoses a recollection of the past rather than a true preservation of it, allowing a vibrant and creative experimentation of the techniques, materials and linguistic expression offered by modern architecture. The identity of the creations that are reproduced here, is the result of a study based on the notion that the past is a component of the new. In this way, history is viewed as a modern recounting, a contemporary history.
